About the Sunwing Griffon

Sculpted four-square with the wings folded rather than spread, this griffon gets a wide four-legged silhouette without the fragile outstretched span that makes most winged sculpts a repair job. The cream-white head and chest form one continuous bright mass up the front of the model, which is what separates the eagle half from the tawny lion half at a glance. The feather-to-fur transition at the flanks is sculpted as a visible seam, giving painters a clean line to work either side of.
