About the Sunscar Sphinx
Seated upright on a carved plinth with front paws together and head level, this sphinx is built as a talking encounter rather than a fight. It is the only seated pose in the line, which makes it read differently on a shelf full of action stances. Sandstone-gold fur with a broad pale ivory chest carries the light, the banded lapis-blue nemes headdress and chest collar supply the saturated accent, and the deep-cut riddle glyphs on the plinth face give the base its own detail to paint.
