How JuJuBit is making the 3D preview feel more like the figurine that arrives in your hands

Closer to What You’ll Hold

At JuJuBit, creating a custom figurine is more than generating a beautiful character on a screen. It is a journey from an idea to a physical object—something personal that you can finally see, touch, and hold.

That is why the 3D preview matters.

It is where you review your creation, examine its details, and imagine what the finished figurine will look like in real life. The closer that preview feels to the final product, the more confidently you can create.

We Saw a Gap

In our previous 3D rendering experience, some models appeared overly glossy.

Strong reflections made certain surfaces look polished, oily, or even metallic. While the model itself remained the same, this rendering effect did not accurately represent the softer resin-like appearance customers could expect from the physical figurine.

The preview looked dramatic—but it did not feel close enough to what customers would eventually hold.

We believed that needed to change.

From Digital Shine to Resin-Like Texture

Our team has been working on a new rendering approach that reduces excessive shine and softens harsh reflections.

By adjusting the way light interacts with the digital model, we can present colors, shapes, facial features, and surface details more naturally. The updated appearance is more matte, more balanced, and closer to the visual character of a physical resin figurine.

This is not simply a cosmetic update.

It is part of our effort to reduce the distance between the digital preview and the finished creation—so that what you see while creating feels more connected to what arrives in your hands.

A More Trustworthy Preview

A custom product begins with trust.

You are trusting us with a face, a memory, a pet, or a character that matters to you. In return, we want to give you a clearer and more honest way to understand what you are creating.

Our goal is not to make the preview look artificially perfect. Our goal is to make it more useful, more realistic, and more representative of the final experience.

The updated rendering allows you to focus on what truly matters:

The character’s expression.
The shape of the model.
The colors you selected.
The details that make the creation yours.

Every Improvement Brings the Screen and the Real World Closer

A digital rendering and a physical figurine will never look completely identical. Screens, lighting, materials, size, and production can all affect how a finished piece appears.

But we believe that difference should become smaller—not be ignored.

The reduction of excessive gloss is one part of a broader effort at JuJuBit to improve model detail, lighting, presentation, and consistency across the entire creation experience.

We will continue testing, refining, and improving the way your creations are presented.

Because for us, the work is not finished when a model appears on the screen.

It is finished when the creation in your hands feels like the one you were hoping to receive.

From screen to hand, we’re working to make every step feel more true to your creation.
